Auction Process

All exhibits, unless noted, will be sold through live or silent auction during the festival.   Trees, Wreaths, Centerpieces, Gingerbread structures, Home Décor and other items will be judged Wednesday afternoon.  First, Second, Third and possible “Best of Show”  Ribbons will be awarded to entries based on judges results. Ribboned entries will be placed up for LIVE Auction at 6:00 p.m. Friday.  Some trees could be pulled from silent or live auction for individual raffles or listed as a “buy now price” at the discretion of the festival committee.

Live Auction

“Best of Show” along with First, Second and Third placed items will go up for live auction during the Auction. The evening begins with a “thank you designer and sponsor hour” and a chance to walk through the displays before the auction.  The auction begins at 7:15 pm.  An auctioneer will conduct the auction. Items go to the highest bidder(s), in the auction tradition of “going once”, “going twice”, “sold”.  Items that did not win ribbons can be called to the floor for the live auction if there is enough interest and at the discretion of the Festival Chair.  Cash or check, made payable to “Festival of Trees” is acceptable for payment.  Sorry, no credit cards.

The following day….live auction items will display a sign of who purchased the exhibit for all to see.  Items purchased through live auction must remain at the festival for the duration.

Silent Auction

Items that were not auctioned off during the live auction at the “T’was the Night Before” Preview Party will be available for purchase through silent auction until Saturday. Place your bids on the corresponding exhibit sheets.  Silent auction forms will be located at each tree,  a bid table will be set up for other items.  The silent auction ends Saturday 5 pm.  Cash or check, made payable to “Festival of Trees” is acceptable for payment.  Sorry, no credit cards.

Items can be picked up Saturday 7 - 8 pm or Sunday 9am until noon.
